My 500 miles milestone.

Exterior of Peers Store.

Peer General Store. Hard to believe that this store has been flooded by the Missouri River over 5 times. 1993 the water was at the top of the entry doors.
The room I rented above the General store in Peers, MO. Store was constructed in 1893. About 4 houses in the little town. I had free run of the store downstairs and was able to find things to eat. Barb the owner even instructed me on the art of making (cooking) (heating up) a frozen pizza.
This is the point where I began my journey on the Katy Trail. Behind the RV Park and practically under the 370 bridge to St. Louis. The Missouri river lies behind the trees.

RV park in St. Charles, MO, where it costs $50 and $55 per night to park your RV. I rented a cabin for $57. It poured rain all night.

Crossing the Mississippi on the Golden Eagle. A barge passes in front of the ferry.
