April 27 we, Shelly, John III, and myself rented a car in South Bend, IN and drove 12 hours to the Baltimore airport where we dropped off the car and stayed the night at the Red Roof Inn. We rented a car again on the 28th and Pete Nelson who volunteers for the ADT drove us to Lewes where we had a great lunch at Gilligans Waterfront Restaurant. Pete went out of his way to see us to our destination. He is a standup guy in my book. We will see him again in 4 or 5 days as he will drive us over the Bay Bridge, as there is no foot traffic allowed on the bridge. Shelly, my dog, was allowed to join us on the deck. Mikki, our waitress was kind enough to serve Shelly water while we dined on fish and chips. Then at about 4 PM we were off the the water, pictures taken, Pete left to return the care to BWI airport, the three of us walked to our motel enjoying the scenes of one of the oldest towns in the US (1631). We walked 3.1 miles today. We will get everything organized for a much longer walk tomorrow. We are all quite tired from all the travel. Staying at the Sleep Inn and we hope to live upto the name. Pictures will be posted later.
